Caracas, Dec 29. ABN.- The Palestinian community living in Venezuela gathered again this Monday in front of the Embassy of Israel in Caracas to condemn recent Israel bomb attacks in Gaza Strip.
During the protests, flags of Israel and United States were burned, which, according to the attendants, are the direct responsible of the massacre.
The Egyptian former diplomatic Yahya Najn explained that it was a spontaneous gathering, “as spontaneous has been the condemn and indignation from the international community against these coward attacks aiming civilian targets at Gaza Strip.”
Najn added that these Israel incursions into Palestinian territory have achieved to get together all the Arab world regarding Palestinian situation. “Our people support Palestinian cause, even if some governments, such as Egypt and Saudi Arabia, keep policies opposing the interest of their people and in favor of Israel.”
“It is not true that Israel is trying to eliminate military objectives with these bomb attacks. They are destroying hospitals, schools, universities, mosques, and urbanizations. Most of the victims are civilians. With this bombing, Zionists tried to eliminate Palestinian Christmas,” said the journalist Hindu Anderi.
Furthermore, she said that they do not expect any change on United States policy supporting Israel. “We know that North American Presidents reach White House only with the support of the Jews lobby. I am pretty sure that Barack Obama's advisors are the big transnationals and he named as chief of his cabinet Emmanuel Rahm, who is a prominent war dog. None of it augurs a positive change for Palestinian people.”
Israel air attacks against Gaza Strip that started on Saturday have killed more than 300 and at least 1,650 injured people.
Out of the total of the injured people, about 250 need urgent care in hospitals of Israel or Egypt, while more than 800 have already received medical care, as it was informed by the official Palestinian news agency, WAFA.
Israel army has bombed the University of Gaza, the Ministry of Interior of Hamas Government, the house of the Palestinian Presidency in Gaza, the main prison, several mosques, and a police headquarter. |
