|
Caracas, Dec 29. ABN.- Great amount of Muslim countries, from Asia, and the rest of the world resumed on Monday the condemns against Israel attacks in Gaza Strip, which left at least 320 deaths.
According to a report published on Monday by AFP, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Indonesia, and Malaysia requested “an immediate ceasefire” of the attacks, which according to Israel are aimed to prevent attacks with rockets from Gaza.
“Pakistan makes an urgent call to international community to promote a peaceful, fair, and long lasting solution for Palestinian case,” said Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, who labeled the attacks as “counterproductive” and illegal according to the Charter of the United Nations (UN).
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan said that bomb attacks, which kill “innocent people”, can not be justified “only due to Hamas policies,” - the Islamic group controlling Gaza Strip since June 2007.
According to United Nations numbers, Israel attacks against Hamas at Gaza Strip have caused since Saturday more than 300 deaths, including more than 20 children.
The President of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, Abdulaye Wade, agreed that Israel excuse to explain the attacks is “unacceptable.” Such attacks “cannot be explained just by Hamas rockets launched” against Israel objectives.
Such rockets have killed since this Saturday two Israel civilians near Gaza.
Indonesia, world's most populous Muslim-majority nation, denounced a “disproportioned use of force” by Israel and labeled Palestinian rockets as “self-defense actions” against the “military occupation and colonization” by the Hebrews State.
Malaysia, another Muslim country, labeled as “disproportioned” Israel actions. “Malaysia feels sorry for the disproportioned use of Israel military means against Gaza population,” said Prime Minister, Abdula Ahmad Badawi, through a statement emitted on Sunday night.
Malaysia is an ally of Palestine, is in favor of a Palestinian State, and does not hold diplomatic relations with Israel.
Japan made a call to the calm to Israel and Hamas.
“Japan makes a call to both sides to stop immediately the use of force in order to avoid the violence to become worse,” stated the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hirofumi Nakasone, through a statement.
Beijing was firmer towards Israel.
China “is shocked and seriously worried by current military operations at Gaza, which have left a great amount of dead and injured people,” said Vice-Prime Minister Li Keqiang through a communiqué.
Furthermore, the South African Government called the Ambassador of Israel to South Africa in order to express him “its deepest worry” before the “brutal aggression” perpetrated by Israel military forces at Gaza, informed the South African Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
