Our independence, the satellite and the soy

Caracas, Nov 01. ABN.- Today, once again, we say as our endless commander said “in the light of truth and time, there is nothing to hide and evil shows up.”

Since one year ago the name of Simon Bolivar orbits over our space, which is guardian and witness of the great and innumerable benefits our people have been given in order to achieve the technological independence and to strengthen the Latin American unity.

How many lies the wicked media outlets have launched before and at the moment of the launching of Venesat-1, on October 29th, 2008! How much crap continues emerging today from these misnamed drains which are called media outlets! “The satellite never took off in China. What you saw on TV were virtual images.” “It's turned off.” “It crashed.” These were and still are the news launched by the media in order to provoke the “media hype-realism” that Hobbs and Phillips mentioned in an excellent worked titled Censored 2010. This represents the inability to make the difference between what is real and what is not.

What is really true and real “serious and real,” as master García Bacca used to say, is that one year after the launching, and thanks to the Mao's people, we are starting to walk by ourselves. 1,546 antennas have been installed, out of which 1,220 are assigned to the education sector in order to develop long-distance training programs. Additionally, there are 193 infocenters with satellite connection, quality services for free.

We have to say it and repeat it : This is only possible through socialism! Thanks to the Simon Bolivar satellite, we have been able to go beyond our borders. The development of a joint project with the Federative Republic of Brazil has allowed the connection of border zones and include especially the indigenous people who have been isolated for centuries.

And thanks to the Simon Bolivar Satellite, we have informed in real time about the decision made by the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Brazilian Senate regarding its approval of the Venezuela's entry into Mercosur, three years after the approval of the presidents of every member country of this great regional block.

It's a great victory for the Latin American unity and we have celebrated it with Lula this Friday by visiting the Socialist Agriculture Training Center “Abreu e Lima,” in the Mesa of Guanipa, state of Anzoategui. We are going to produce 70,000 tons of soja once the three phases of the project 2011 are finished. This will allow the transformation of this product in meat, oils, milk, as well as food for animal consumption. Venezuela will be, in short term, a soja exporting country.

We have to say it. This is only possible in the Venezuela that broke off the chains of the capital-imperialist dependence! This is what the North is afraid of. What capitalists are afraid of consists on the undeniable fact that we are becoming a paradigm that could also reach the United States. Thus, Hobbs and Phillips are right when they wonder what many US people could wonder “If a country like Venezuela can offer quality programs and services to its people, why cannot the US do it with its higher capacity of resources and repeat this success here'”

“But the lessons of history, the examples of both the old and the new world, and the experience of twenty years of revolution must serve you as so many beacons placed to guide you through the darkness of the future,” says Bolivar in his Message to the Constituent Congress of the Republic of Colombia, on January 20, eleven months before the December he died in 1830.

This is a very pertinent message today given the irreflexive and questionable attitude of the Colombian government after the arrest of two DAS agents accused of participating in spying plans in Maracaibo.

The role of the private media outlets has also been blind and irreflexive. They continue strengthening the same spurious information and try to make see Venezuela as the responsible of the historic Colombian conflict. Their political blindness does not allow them see what is the best for the homeland and South America. Once again, they are out in the open. They are even more exposed if we take into account the investigations the Interior and Justice Ministry is carrying out.

We have to make it clear in these lines. First, the people and the Venezuelan government has always been pacifist, as well as most of the Colombian people. Second, the ideas they try to spread about Venezuela does not resist a serious analysis.

Dangerous nonsense of a specific and powerful media and political sector. The recent DAS speeches are also dangerous nonsense. Dangerous and pathetic information that the media sector spreads. It just reflects a common goal: to pave the way for the criminalization of Venezuela by implementing the Yankee style. With some variations, it is the same criminalization against Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, North Korea , Cuba, Bolivia, Ecuador. That is to say, an axis of evil like the US want.

The evil spirit of the legal fictions of Santander is the same one in the current media thesis. If it is possible to consider as a thesis great number of irresponsible accusations that explode as a bomb in the private media outlets, which try to elaborate the news according to its few customers, they tiny group of powerful pitiyankees.

Despite the people who try to divide Colombia and Venezuela, our spiritual geography and the common history of our peoples exist like a living force. Colombian and Venezuela were the great protagonist of constituent independence and the definite independence will also be protagonist. This is the only manifesto that Colombia and Venezuela admit. And Ecuador, Colombia La Grande! I know it and you too compatriot: behind a group of powerful people who have kidnapped Colombia's life, there is a people, our people, who do know the consequences of a mad and fratricide conflict. Today more than ever, both peoples make use of the premise of our Father Liberator: “I know that every American Republic's luck depends on good of the others, and the one who serves to one, serves to many of them.”

His last breath was “My last wishes are for the happiness of our homeland...” Long live Bolívar! We shall triumph!
