An evening with the Ouija board

In the last summers after completing my high school, I visited the cottage house owned by my father. I went there with four of my friends Stephen, Stuart, Vanessa, and Jessica. The idea of that visit was to celebrate the completion of our high school. We planned for a four-day visit. Near that cottage house was a forest. It was the beauty of nature. The place was untouched by modern civilization. The environment was soothing, the air was fresh, and I could hear the birds chirping every time. The temperature was less than the temperature in the town.

The first task was to clean that cottage house, which was full of dirt and my father had warned me about that before leaving. So we distributed the work to clean the house and after the struggle of several hours, the house was clean. Now it was the time to relax but suddenly, I realized that I haven’t seen the store room yet. So I left for the storeroom and we got some more work. There I found a board at the top left of which there was a black circle like structure and ‘YES’ was written. On the top right, there was a half-moon structure and ‘NO’ was written. On the remaining two corners the structure of star was present. At the middle portion of it, all the 26 alphabets and the numbers from 0 to 9 were written. Also on the upper portion, there was written hello and at the lower portion, there was written goodbye.

I took this unique looking board for my friends. Stephen was frightened to see this board and suddenly went out of the house. I was surprised by this kind of sudden behavior from Stephen. I and the other friends went to him to ask what happened to him. His eyes were filled with fear. He said that it is an Ouija board, a special kind of board with the help of which you can talk to spirits present around you. Stephen was always afraid of the spirits and ghost stories from childhood and that’s why he was reacting like this. I and the other friends didn’t believe him. He narrated how to operate this Ouija board and get the answers from the spirit. I console Stephen to not worry, the spirits are from another world. They perhaps can talk to us but can’t harm us. And I convinced him and other friends to try the Ouija board to talk to the spirits as I was developing an interest in it.

In the evening, we all sat around the Ouija board lighting the candle at the corners of it. I placed a coin on the Ouija and placed my finger on the coin board and ask is there any spirit present there. I started dragging the coin all over the Ouija board and suddenly my finger stopped, and I was not able to move that coin. I opened my eyes and the coin was at yes. We all got surprised by this. Then in the excitement, I asked who are you and again dragged the coin the coin stopped on the letter A, then it stops on the letter D, then again on A and the on M. It was Adam. Adam was the name of my grandfather. I asked, is it you, grandpa? And dragged the coin and the answer was yes. I got Goosebumps at that moment. I can forget that night. With the help of that Ouija board, the spirit of my grandfather told me that he has been watching over me from a very long time. He told me that I am walking on the right path in my life and I should trust myself little more. My eyes were filled with tear while communicating with him and suddenly when I dragged the coin to question about my future, it stopped on the ‘Goodbye’. It was a very nice session but One thing that should be remembered while using the Ouija board is that never use it, when you are alone. Practice it with at least 4 peoples around you.
